On this page, you can download guidance and communication materials for collection point staff and battery returners.

Our materials are primarily intended for retail stores that are legally obliged to accept used batteries. However, they can also be used by any collection points that find them suitable for their operations. All materials are available for download, and you can either print them yourself or order them directly from our partner print shop at your own expense.

Communication obligations of distributors (retail stores)

The section of the Batteries Regulation that entered into force in August 2025, concerning producer responsibility and distributors’ take-back obligations, requires collection points to inform their customers about the possibility of returning used batteries. Returning batteries must be easy and free of charge for the customer, without any obligation to purchase a new product. The materials on this page help communicate the return option to customers and thus support compliance with the distributor’s communication obligations.

How to use the materials

Print the staff and collection point instruction posters. If possible, use A3 size. Place the staff instruction poster in a staff area, such as a break room or bottle return room, where employees can easily check the key information. The collection point poster should be displayed clearly for customers near the return point. You may print both poster versions or choose the one you prefer.

Materials available directly through a print shop

All materials are also available to order directly from a print shop we cooperate with, in high quality and the correct image size. You can order all available materials or select the products that best suit your needs. Orders are placed at your own expense, and payment is made by card in our partner’s online store.
