Upon registration, each producer is charged a one-off registration fee. The fee is €200–700 (+ VAT), depending on how many battery and accumulator classes are covered by the producer responsibility transfer to Recser Oy.

Recycling fees for batteries and accumulators placed on the market are determined by volumes and vary in accordance with their recyclability. Recycling fees are collected for all portable batteries and accumulators placed on the market, as well as for such industrial accumulators and lithium automotive accumulators that can be regarded as easily carried by hand.
As Recser expands its producer responsibility scope, recycling fees for large industrial batteries will be introduced in August 2025, along with possibly other cost contributions defined by the producer community. Read more about the expansion of producer responsibility in our article.
The more producers take part in sharing the costs, the lower the fees. It is therefore important that no producer leaves its waste management costs for the others to pay.
